Lamar Scottie Beginning Band Students

Preparing and practicing for December 'Round the World has been helping me get into the holiday spirit a little early this year.  Just when I was feeling like I needed an additional boost, the Lamar Scottie Band was to the rescue!  Last night, I attended the Beginning Band Concert at Lamar Middle School to see several of our Class of 2009 Reilly graduates!  It was a fabulous concert.  


The ensemble performed several holiday selections together and then highlighted each instrument section of the band.  It was amazing to see how much the students have learned in just a few short months.  


I am already looking forward to seeing the band in action again this spring.  It will be great to see their musicianship continue to develop over the course of the year.  Congratulations on a wonderful debut performance!
