See You At the Ballet!

Third grade musicians are preparing to see The Nutcracker presented by Ballet Austin. This is Texas' longest running production of The Nutcracker. We are eager to be transported into Clara's dream world this year.

We listened to several selections written by Tchaikovsky to help is prepare for our experience. In addition, we were visited but a fabulous docent from the ballet. We learned about the different types of costumes and shoes used in this style of dance. We practiced the five positions of ballet in our classroom and look forward to seeing the dancers this week!
