Once again, Reilly musicians in third, fourth and fifth grade were treated to a special presentation and performance by the Austin Jazz Workshop.
On Tuesday, October 18, 2011, a special guest from the AJW came to our music classroom to teach us about Jazz and Miles Davis. We listened to several of Miles Davis' recordings, looked at photographs of him and learned about his life and career. Later in the week we were treated to a special performance from the band!
Students were active listeners and also participated in the show! Miles' hit So What was a success for both the band and students alike, as they were able to sing with the group. We are already looking forward to the AJW returning to Reilly next year!
