It's December 'Round the World!

Third, fourth and fifth grade musicians performed in the annual winter program last week.  Our show December 'Round the World was a hit!  Students worked very hard in our music classes; learning songs, memorizing speaking parts, designing choreography and even making costume accents and decorations!

• "The sing-a-long was a lot of fun!  It was cool to sing with the other kids from different grades."
• "I liked listening to the fifth graders perform Jump at the Sun!  It was a pretty cool song and I still have it in my head.
• "The flashlights in Miracle of Lights were awesome!  The lights looked cool in the dark room and their hats were awesome!

Following our performance, we invited the audience to join us in a sing-a-long.  As a school community, we sang through several holiday classics.  This was a new idea and something we would like to do again in the future!
